You are not a good candidate for the procedure if you have an infection, you are diabetic or is a Lupus patient or have blood-clotting problems.ProcedureThe Lip augmentation procedure is quick and is performed with little to no downtime. If the procedure involves fat transfer, then it may take a bit longer. Before the procedure, the doctor administers a topical or local numbing agent, to ease the discomfort. After this, he carefully marks the area to be injected. The surgeon uses very fine needles to inject the substance into your lips.After the injection, ice is applied on the area, to ease the discomfort and to control the swelling. You notice the change in the area immediately. After you are healed properly, your lips will start looking natural.

Recovery

You may observe the change in your lips immediately after the procedure. For a few days, you are not allowed to apply lip colors on the area. The healing takes a few days.
